Are you being BASIC?

Your body is not a basic thing, so why would you use basic methods to quantify your wellness?

.

People are so hyper-fixated by the number on the scale, a little device that psychologically controls a huge percentage of the population and SCARIEST of all, a large portion of our Western Healthcare system.

💀.

.

You step on the scale at a doctor’s office and the nurse gives you a judgemental eye for being 8lbs “overweight” according to an outdated BMI calculation, leaving you to feel self-conscious and a little offended. Then, the doctor enters the room and suggests you lose weight to be within a “healthy BMI” when he himself is visibly packing the pounds.

Bunch of basic @$$ hypocrites.

.

Neither the scale nor BMI are a true measure of your internal wellness, and is especially unfair if you are athletic.

Why? Because muscle mass!

Muscle is dense, so someone with a low body fat percentage who strength trains regularly can have a higher body weight and still be healthy!

.

What I’m trying to say is, STOP being a basic b!tch and get some real answers about your wellness.
